Welcome to the Houston Orchid Society Newcomers Website

This web site is dedicated to providing information for the new orchid grower.  We provide culture information, photo galleries, local orchid sellers, and a way for Newcomers to show off their plants and growing areas and a place to buy, sell and trade. 

The first thing a newcomer should do is download the Newcomers Handbook.  It has the basic information that will get you started.    Please read the section on visiting greenhouses.  We are a guest in our host's home and there are a few simple rules we should follow.
